Have a Great Summer

About Me:

I grew up in Southern California and studied at UC Berkeley.  I have a BA in Political Science and a Masters in Education: Curriculum and Instruction.  I am an Honoree on the Wall of Tolerance at the Civil Rights Memorial in Montgomery, AL for "Teaching Tolerance" in my classroom.  I taught U. S. History, World History, Yearbook and Computers at Mountain Shadows Middle School for 22 years until they closed the school.  I taught at Tech High School for two years and transferred to Lawrence Jones in 2012.

I feel it is important for teachers, parents, counselors and administrators to work together to provide the best education for the student.  Please feel free to Contact Me using the tab on the left-hand side of any page.

About the Website:

The General Info page includes several useful documents for all students and parents.

The Thinking Maps are graphic organizers used throughout the District, from elementary to high school, that help students organize their information prior to writing quality papers for class. Students who need them for any class may download them from The Thinking Maps page and they will open in ©Microsoft Word.

The US History page gives a brief description of the homework and due dates.  It includes an orange RSS Button at the top for parents and students to Follow the Page.  If you Follow the Page, everytime there is a change on the US History Page, you will be notified.  Contact Me, if you need more details or if you are absent.

The Resources page has links to sites valuable for class.

From the Yearbook page you can order the Yearbook or upload pictures to be used in this year's book.

I hope this year will be an exciting and meaningful experience for students.

Thank you all for your support and comments.  I keep this website dynamic, so check it often for updates.
